Elite casinos is the best deal in town call reggie for next event 813.486.0348. The US casino industry continues to get hit with tough regulations. Most recently, state officials in New Jersey have begun setting new rules towards the casinos in Atlantic City. Moving forward, Atlantic City casino restaurants will need to close their indoor operations by 10 pm every night. It’s a tough blow for these venues.
Atlantic City casinos offer access to two of the largest casino loyalty clubs in the country.
Players at Borgata Hotel & Casino can get in the M life Rewards Program, allowing them to earn and redeem rewards at close to a dozen Las Vegas Strip properties and a handful more across the US.
Plus, Bally’s Atlantic City, Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City, and Caesars Atlantic City are all Caesars Entertainment properties. That means they offer access to the same Caesars Rewards loyalty program that will be available in up to 60 casino properties in 16 states by the time the Eldorado Resorts and Caesars’ merger closes in early 2020.
However, casino loyalty clubs in Atlantic City include more than just the big two. Some of the other casino properties in America’s Playground also offer excellent opportunities to earn and redeem rewards locally.
Here’s a look at three of the best casino rewards cards available exclusively in Atlantic City.
Ocean Wow Rewards Club
Casino Player magazine gave the Ocean Casino Resort player loyalty program its award for “Best Comps” two years in a row before Ocean Casino Resort decided to make it even better.
Ocean Casino Resort launched its revamped Ocean Wow Rewards Club on Oct. 1, giving players many reasons to visit one of the two revamped Atlantic City casinos that reopened in 2018.
The reimagining of the loyalty program includes allowing guests to earn exclusive perks and privileges with various national brands that Ocean Casino now calls partners.
The program features five tiers with increasing benefits. The more you play, the more tier points you earn, and the higher your status.
Benefits include flex comps, same-day free play, and free parking. But the perks rise as high as access to the VIP Lounge & Chairman’s Lounge, an annual $500 celebration dinner, and the choice of a yearly gift that may include a one-year lease on a Mercedes-Benz.
Ocean Wow Rewards Club members earn tier points and comp dollars or flex comps based on slot or table game play at Ocean. The comps can be used at 1:1 for dining, on-property shopping, or hotel stays. Plus, they can be used at 2:1 for slot play.
The Resorts Star Card
The Star Card is available exclusively at Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City. However, Star cardmembers can also use the comp dollars they earn at Resorts’ partner properties, including Mohegan Sun in Connecticut and Mohegan Sun Pocono in Pennsylvania.
So, this helps make the Resorts Star Card one of Atlantic City’s most generous player rewards programs.
There are five levels of the Star Card, each offering increased benefits and earning power.
Benefits start with complimentary and discounted hotel rooms, meals, and show tickets. But they quickly ascend to free spa and salon privileges at Resorts and free stays at the out-of-state sister resorts.
Resorts recently updated the program to make comp points redeemable at a 1:1 ratio in all Resorts’ restaurants, retail shops, and the hotel.
Obviously, this makes spending the points easier. Earning them is a little more complicated.
Resorts gives comp dollars, cash-back, and tier points to Star Card members based on things like Star Card level, game played, average bet, length of time played, and a game’s hold percentage.
Tropicana Atlantic City Trop Advantage
The Trop Advantage Players Club has been around as long as any in AC. However, this may be the lucrative player rewards program’s final days.
That’s because Tropicana Atlantic City is now an Eldorado Resorts property. That means it’ll likely become one of the 60 Caesars Rewards casino properties by the time the Eldorado-Caesars merger closes next year.
While members will likely be happy with the perks and benefits of the esteemed Caesars Rewards program, in the meantime, there’s still time to take advantage of what Trop Advantage has to offer.
Casino Player magazine has voted it the “Best Players Club” in Atlantic Cty for four years running. This recognition is thanks to the plentiful rewards members can enjoy.
The Trop Advantage Players Club gives players more offers, rewards, and choices than almost any other program.
Like most, there are five tiers with increasing benefits and rewards. Trop Advantage members earn comp dollars, tier points, and sweepstakes entries for all gaming activity.
Tropicana accepts comp dollars at 100% for dining and shopping on the property. Plus, members that move up through the tiers quickly start earning perks like discounted stays at other Eldorado properties. Plus, the ability to earn Trop Dollars that are worth even more than comp dollars.
Atlantic City New Casino
Top-level Black Card members get personalized host service and access to Top of the Trop and two tickets to the IMAX Theater every month.
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) — For decades, women have dealt cards or served drinks in casinos, but they rarely got the chance to run the joint.
But women now run four of Atlantic City’s nine casinos in what some industry executives and observers say could be the future of the gambling industry.
Caesars Entertainment hired Jacqueline Grace last week to run the Tropicana casino as its senior vice president and general manager. She is one of two Black women in charge of casinos in Atlantic City, joining Melonie Johnson, who took over leadership of the Borgata this year as its president.
The other women at the helm of Atlantic City casinos are Terry Glebocki, CEO of the Ocean Casino Resort, and Karie Hall, senior vice president and general manager of Bally’s.
“I hope I live to see the day where this is not considered news,” Johnson said. “I think the world is starting to catch up, but it’s probably going to be another 10 years before we get all the inequity out of the workforce.”
News About Atlantic City Casinos
The American Gaming Association, the national trade group for the casino industry, does not keep statistics on the number of U.S. casinos run by women, but numerous casino executives and analysts said they were hard-pressed to think of another market with a higher percentage of female-led casinos.
All agreed it is far less than the number of men who hold those jobs, with several placing it at about 10%.
“I think it speaks to the rapid changes in the gaming industry, which was traditionally very male-oriented, over the past few years,” said David Schwartz, a gambling historian with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. “Many of the reasons for the male domination had to do with the way casinos were run in Nevada. Women didn’t deal in Las Vegas until the 1970s, giving them far fewer chances.”
Debra Nutton was one of the first craps dealers in Las Vegas, which so irked one of her male bosses at the Sands that he referred to her in front of others as “that (expletive) broad.” She persevered and soon was promoted to manager of the dice pit, where a female boss was unheard of at the time.
“The more women that get a seat at the table and prove their value, the better it is for the second, third and fourth person in the line,” said Nutton, who eventually became a senior vice president at the Wynn and MGM casino companies before retiring. “When women have a seat at the table and can say of a candidate: ‘I know her, she’s fantastic!’ the more opportunities we will get.”
When New Jersey began legal casino gambling in 1978, it opened up a new world of possibilities for women, said Virginia McDowell, vice president of Global Gaming Women, which advocates for women in the gambling industry. Many who worked their way up from dealers into supervisory roles went on to higher-level careers elsewhere in the country as gambling spread.
“I can think of at least a dozen women trained in Atlantic City who went on to lead very significant careers in the industry, people who held the highest positions across the U.S.,” said McDowell, who served as executive vice president of the Trump casinos in Atlantic City, and CEO of Missouri-based Isle of Capri casinos.
Six years ago, six of Iowa’s 19 casinos were led by women, a figure that has since declined to five, according to Wes Ehrecke, president of the Iowa Gaming Association.
“I don’t think it’s a coincidence” that nearly half of Atlantic City’s casinos are run by women, said the Atlantic City Tropicana’s Grace, who spent 10 years in finance before entering the gambling industry. “I think it’s corporations being thoughtful about a workforce that looks like their communities.”

Hall, the Bally’s general manager in Atlantic City, said, “One of the things I’m really passionate about is what comes behind us — what that pipeline looks like, so that this is not just an aberration, that it’s not just us.
“This is a progression,” she said. “We want to keep it moving forward.”
